Opening night of the Art Show

The past year has been a bit "bruising" for my ego. The whole job search thing can be a serious drain on your confidence. You know...the ..."why doesn't anyone want me?" feeling.

Last night was QUITE different.

It was the opening of the Naughti Gras Art show.

When I got there, of COURSE the first thing I had to do was find my pieces. I looked and looked...couldn't find them. I'm not sure HOW I missed them, because they're hanging right next to the doorway between the room you first come into, and the bar.

At first, I was a little concerned. They were hanging next to a mosaic piece that I was pretty sure was going to upstage my masks completely. But, as the evening passed, I saw people looking. And not just looking, *stopping* to look and admire.

And then, the miracle. A lady decided she wanted to BUY one of them. I was standing there, and started to talk to her, and recommended which one she should get, because of how she was going to use it. About 15 minutes later, a little red "Sold" stamp appeared on my card.

how to say this......

WOW!

Accepted....and sold.....

I guess somebody DOES want me. :D

I spent the rest of the evening bouncing off the walls.
